The Lake of the Woods County Joint Powers mission is to create and sustain a vibrant, growing economy which will result from business retention, expansion, and relocations throughout Lake of the Woods County.

Organization and Role statement

The Lake of the Woods County Joint Powers Board is a non-profit economic development authority for Lake of the Woods County. The organization is comprised of two county commissioners, two elected officials from the city of Baudette, one elected official from the city of Williams, one elected official from School District #390, and one appointed member from the Industrial Development Committee. Its function is to help generate economic development related activities in Lake of the Woods County and oversee the executive director duties.
